Join us for a full‑day Saturday crafting retreat where you’ll create a beautiful jewellery box and two hanging ornaments using hand‑embossed pewter. This relaxing workshop includes all materials as well as a delicious ploughman’s lunch
The retreat takes place on Saturday 16th May, in a spacious Safari Tent set within the grounds of Mid‑England Barrow in Farnborough. Breathe in the country air, learn a new craft, have lunch with some like-minded crafty people and meet new friends.
Your tutor, Mel, is an experienced metal embosser and mixed‑media artist with many years of teaching experience. You will be taught the relaxing craft of low and high relief embossing, how to patina and polish the metal and you will then accent your design with alcohol inks. The group will be kept small to ensure plenty of individual attention.
This is a beginners workshop, and no artistic or crafting ability is required. You’ll be guided step‑by‑step using stencils and tracings.
